This kit essentially provides a conversion to 590S functionality, but in a more robust design. It contains our patent-pending Universal Cartridge Adapter and low-drag no-snag Magazine Follower which allows smooth cycling of 1-3/4" Minishells up to 3" Magnum cartridges in the same magazine. The adapter is constructed from vulcanized thermoplastic rubber, and the follower is machined from solid 6061-T6 billet aluminum. This kit is compatible with any Mossberg 12-Gauge pump-action firearm with a 3" Chamber and machined grooves in the receiver. The Apache Armaments true match grade barrel is meticulously machined from USA sourced 416R Stainless Steel and features the .223 Wylde chambering. The Wylde chambering is a hybrid chambering developed by Bill Wylde to safely utilize 5.56 NATO ammunition while optimizing accuracy. Of course, it also safely chambers and shoots .223 Remington chambered ammunition as well. The barrel features straight line fluting in parallel to the bore axis for a slight weight reduction, increased surface area to enhance cooling and increase rigidity of the barrel.

The 12" Lightning handguard features M-lock ports on both sides and the bottom to allow the user to mount M-lock dedicated accessories or picatinny rail sections. The handguard is hard coat anodized for durability and good looks. It also features a QD mounting point on each side near the upper receiver for those wanting to mount a sling in those areas.

The upper is machined from 7075T aircraft grade aluminum and finished with type 3 hard coat anodizing as per military specifications.


The barrel is machined from 4150 high chromium, high vanadium steel, which is a better grade of steel than a standard gun barrel steel.  It is finished with a manganese phosphate coating as per military specifications for corrosion resistance. Due to supply chain issues, we reserve the right to substitute the nitro carburized finish ( an even more durable finish) if necessary.  These barrels have been manufactured to achieve sub MOA accuracy.  We have several customers reporting 3/4" groups at 100 yards right out of the box and 3/4" or better groups at 200 yards after recommended break in.
