- The upper receiver is made from 7075 aircraft grade aluminum and is also hard coat anodized to military specifications.
- This 16 inch parkerized barrel is made from 4150 high vanadium steel. The high vanadium and chromium content in the 4150 steel results in a barrel less susceptible to pitting than barrels made of the standard 4140 gun barrel steel.
- The parkerized finish is a manganese phosphate process applied in compliance with military specifications for corrosion resistance.
- This barrel has been threaded to accept standard muzzle devices. We utilize a steel gas block and a stainless steel carbine length gas tube.
- This Apache Rail hand guard is made of 6061 aircraft grade aluminum that has been hard coat anodized to military specifications.
- Included with any 6.5 Grendel upper receivers is a Nitro Carbonized QPQ bolt carrier group. This carrier is made of 8620 tool steel with a properly staked Key, and the bolt face is made of 9610 tool steel. This is a much better steel than the Mil-Spec 158 Carpenter Steel with its higher carbon composition.
